With a legacy of innovation and dedication since our founding, Goyette Mechanical has been setting the standard in mechanical contracting for decades.
As the company started to grow in the 1930’s and 40’s, Leo brought in several of his sons to help with the business. In 1956, Leo sold the company to his oldest son, Mark Goyette. Mark ran the company until his untimely passing due to cancer in 1961. At that time, Thomas Goyette, Leo’s youngest son took over the business.
For the next 30 years Goyette Mechanical grew in both size, scope and geographic areas. The company added sheet metal, pipe fabrication and emergency service divisions. General Motors, the State of Michigan and the University of Michigan were steady customers. Goyette also opened offices in Ann Arbor and Lansing and started doing select projects outside of Michigan. By 1990 the company had about 200 employees and was doing approximately $30 million in annual sales.
In 1993, Thomas became ill and passed away. His oldest son Dominic Goyette was named President/CEO. During that time, Goyette Mechanical has continued to grow and prosper. There are offices in Flint, Ann Arbor, Pontiac and Oscoda. Today, the company has over 560 employees and annual revenue of over $200 million. The company has several major projects outside of Michigan. Goyette also has one of the largest Plumbing and HVAC Service companies in Michigan with several thousand maintenance agreements in place.
2024 is Goyette Mechanical’s 96th year. The company is looking forward to reaching its 100th year with many fourth generation family members in leadership roles. The company is proud of its heritage and continues to focus on customer satisfaction through high quality work, fair pricing and extraordinary employees.
